As you can see, American Heart Month has been around since 1963 (51 years) and is even recognized by the president. A few things you can do to keep your heart healthy involve eating better, being active and maintaining a healthy weight. If you’re a smoker, the best thing you can do is quit since it more than doubles your risk of heart disease.
